Though Jay-Z tweeted last month that he had already reached his yearly tweet allotment, the "Glory" rapper took to Twitter today (July 8) to respond to fan remarks with seemingly random answers and questions, and an acknowledgement of his distinct laugh.

Beginning shortly after noon, the Magna Carta Holy Grail rapper took to his Twitter account, @S_C_, addressing @brianfagioli about whether or not he should write a song about his Hanes pocket T-shirt. Jay-Z responded with a "YES. *my laugh," in regards to his distinct "HA" heard both in songs and in jest.

He addressed some of the lyrical content on Magna Carta Holy Grail: "RT @IgnantTome what was the inspiration behind 'Oceans' & 'Heaven'? [When 140 ain't enough] #factsonly Columbus didn't discover America" "RT @SteveHiggz Why is 'Beach is Better' so short man??? [This is how I feel about vacation. Just when,]."

Jay-Z also acknowledged that he wasn't sure why he was responding to fan tweets. "RT @bradgilmore The fact that Jay-Z can tweet something and then put *mylaugh is the greatest thing on earth. [Facts only]," he said. "RT @OhSoZeee Jay Z is responding to the most random tweets right now [word. my laugh]."

The rapper was frequently using the hashtag #factsonly along with #mylaugh while interacting with fans, and #MCHG quickly soared to the top of Twitter's trending topics in the United States.

The seemingly random Twitter promotion may just be a part of the #newrules that Hova went on a rant about after announcing his album in June. Magna Carta Holy Grail was released to Samsung Galaxy users on July 4 and will come out on iTunes and other retailers tomorrow (July 9).
