To many fans of both the original MTV show Daria and Parks and Recreation actress Aubrey Plaza, the two go together like peanut butter and jelly. Daria fans anxious for a sequel have been calling for Plaza to star as the monotonous, "realistic" (aka, cynical) teen for years.

Finally, there's a little taste of what a live-action Daria movie starring Plaza would look like. College Humor -- who also recently did a music-less version of Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" -- have put together a mock trailer for a Daria film featuring the equally unenthusiastic actress.

The resulting video shows Plaza as Daria Morgendorffer returning to Lawndale for her 10 year high school reunion. Featuring her super peppy ginger sister Quinn, artsy raven-haired best friend Jane Lane, her aging parents and a slew of her student peers and teachers, Daria reluctantly attends the party and it's revealed that little has changed.

Of course, live-action versions of Trent and Mystik Spiral appear, or have they changed their name? Daria's boyfriend from the last season of the show, Tom Sloan, also appears and the two rekindle their romance.

The humor in the trailer almost flawlessly reflects the dry jokes and jabs at popular society that was displayed in the original series. Keeping with character personality, the entire trailer feels almost too real. However, there are no real plans to make a full-length Daria film.

Daria ended its run on MTV in 2002 with the made-for-TV (animated) movie Is It College Yet? Meanwhile, Aubrey Plaza is busy promoting her upcoming summer comedy The To Do List.
