If you remember, which you probably do, American singer Taylor Swift and One Direction's Harry Styles dated towards the end of 2012. They ended their relationship before 2013, but we still seem to be talking about it. What most people seem to forget (myself included) is that the two young heartthrobs only dated for about 2 months. Yet here we are, still talking about them. Well it turns out that, despite the short period of time spent together, Swift still feels that it was an important part of her life.

"All of her short romances are fun and she feels special, but she's ready for something deeper and that won't end up as a national punch line," an insider reveled. "But that seems to be impossible with her touring schedule. That said, she's a strong working woman and that will never change for her."

Though this is not coming straight from Taylor, we can all assume that this is not far from the truth considering most of her songs are about the relationships she has with high-profile men.

In a recent interview regarding writing songs for her Red album follow-up, Swift talked about how she deals with heartbreak.

"I think when you're heartbroken you need music more than when you're not," the 23-year-old singer said. "There's something so beautiful about people who are heartbroken; they think about things much more."

"When you're in love and you're happy you don't need to think; it's just there," she explained. "Love is one of those things that's so simple, you only need to think about it when it's bad. When you write a song about what you're thinking... there's such a gratification and it helps you move on."

As of now, Taylor is focusing on her new album and finishing up some concert dates on her "Red" tour. But do you think she'll find "something deeper" in terms of love soon?
