Lindsay Lohan and James Deen's controversial new film "The Canyons" has gotten the Kanye West treatment.
In collaboration with his multimedia company DONDA, West and Nate Brown reworked the trailer for the Bret Easton Ellis thriller, according to Pitchfork. An ominous piano track builds and builds throughout the trailer, beginning with occasional, somber chords and ends with an explosion of emotion.
Meanwhile, Lohan gives a monologue about loving films, leading to sexual scenes and Deen's character claiming that he makes his own movies.

The dialogue and shots remain the same from the film's original trailer, released last month. However, the music for the first trailer features more of a dubstep feel, and the music sounds oddly more hopeful than the ominious West music.
"The Canyons," was released yesterday (Aug. 2) in select theatres and on iTunes. The erotic thriller film features Deen (normally a porn actor) as a film producer trying to keep his trust fund intact. Meanwhile, his girlfriend played by Lohan is trying to hide an affair from her past, leading to intense situations.
This is not the first time Kanye West and Bret Easton Ellis' worlds have collided. Not only are the two friends, but earlier this year, West remade a memorable scene from Ellis' 2000 film "American Psycho," using girlfriend Kim Kardashian's (basically) brother-in-law Scott Disick as Patrick Bateman.
