While performing in San Jose, California, last week, the boys of One Direction received some interesting gifts from their fans. But by "gifts," I mean "tampons that were thrown on stage."
Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson are definitely used to things being thrown at them while they perform to thousands of screaming girls, so when the tampons hit the stage as well as themselves, the boys simply grimaced and continued on with the show.
This was unlike what happened last week when Justin Bieber was hit by an iPhone during his "Believe" tour stop in New Jersey. The "Heartbreaker" singer picked up the thrown Smartphone, shoved it down his pants and then tossed it back into the crowd on the opposite side of the stage. Classy, Biebs.
But this is not even the first time One Direction has had a tampon-throwing incident at a concert. Last year Harry Styles said, "I got hit in the face with a tampon," when asked about items thrown on stage. But the boys are mainly used to bras and things of that nature thrown on stage.
Check out a video clip of Styles getting hit in the face with a tampon right here:
Tampon-throwing aside, One Direction performed their newest hit "Best Song Ever" for the first time during the "Take Me Home" tour on that same night!
