Run-DMC ADIDAS: Sneaker Giant Launches Superstar 80s Collection To Commemorate Rap Greats

ADIDAS is putting out a commemorative line of sneakers and apparel to celebrate the rappers who made their gear cool, Run-DMC. The so-called Superstar '80s sneakers will feature the band's classic logo (and oft-imitated) logo on the tongue.

The Run-DMC Superstar 80s comes with a printed leather sockliner, regular and fat lacing, plus elastic tongue construction, which allows wearers to emulate the Queens trio and wear the shoes without laces.

ADIDAS recently released a video of Rev Run and DMC discussing their first pair of the classic sneaks.

In addition, the white and black track jackets of the day are being re-released as the apparel end of the Run-DMC collection. Those are available now.

The sneakers will drop in September.
