James Gandolfini died last month of a heart attack at the age of 51-years-old. He left behind a legacy of great performances as well as grieving friends, fans and family. But his work is not done. He had plenty of projects completed and in the works before his death, including Enough Said. Directed by Nicole Holofcener, the romantic comedy is not like most of the genre. First we have an incredible director, an amazing gone-too-soon actor and award-winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfuss stars as well. We have the trailer below.
Here is the synopsis of the film:
A divorced and single parent, Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) spends her days enjoying work as a masseuse but dreading her daughter's impending departure for college. She meets Albert (James Gandolfini) - a sweet, funny and like-minded man also facing an empty nest. As their romance quickly blossoms, Eva befriends Marianne (Catherine Keener), her new massage client. Marianne is a beautiful poet who seems "almost perfect" except for one prominent quality: she rags on her ex-husband way too much. Suddenly, Eva finds herself doubting her own relationship with Albert as she learns the truth about Marianne's Ex. ENOUGH SAID is a sharp, insightful comedy that humorously explores the mess that often comes with getting involved again.
As most sites will tell you, this is Jame's penultimate role. This of course adds a bit of bittersweetness to the film, but we should not let that take away from his performance. As you can see from the trailer below, Gandolfini always had incredible range in terms of creating characters for his fans.
