Though some initially thought "23" would be the second single from Miley Cyrus' new album 2013 "BANGERZ," it has come out the track is actually the debut single from her "We Can't Stop" producer Mike WiLL Made It. Cyrus, along with Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J helped to make the new track happen. Now, a snippet has been released, teasing fans about new music from the up-and-coming rapper.
The "23" in the song refers to how many bottles of liquor Mike WiLL and his crew would be consuming in a night, as revealed in the beginning of the club-banging single. Cyrus' part is the real featured portion of the 20-second clip. With a deep vocal effect slightly obscuring the former Disney star's natural sound, almost making her sound like Rihanna.
Boasting about how she's "naughty by nature," with her hands in the air and her feet on the floor. Unlike the carefree, friendly hands up Cyrus sang about in her hit "Party in the USA," "23" feels like she's in a seedy yet bumping club.
Listen to the short snippet of "23" below.
After releasing three mixtapes, Mike WiLL Made It's debut album, "Est. in 1989 Pt. 3" is set to drop sometime this year, featuring "23" as its lead single. Known better as a producer than an emcee, Mike WiLL has not only worked with Cyrus but with Future, Drake and Pusha T.
"23" will be released in full Aug. 26.
Meanwhile, Cyrus announced yesterday that her new album will be called "BANGERZ" because it features, well, a lot of "bangerz." Little is known about the album and whether or not "23" will appear on her record in addition to Mike WiLL's.
