Kid Cudi is set to appear as a guest star on Fox's new Andy Samberg led cop-comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He joins the likes of Fred Armisen (SNL, Portlandia) in the as-yet unproven sitcom's list of high-profile guest stars

In the comedy about a diverse group of detectives at a New York precinct, Cudi will play Dustin Whitman, an ex-con that Jake (Andy Samberg) is convinced robbed a jewelry store. He's slated to appear in the third episode of the season.
This isn't Cudi's first go-round on the idiot box. The rapper born Scott Mescudi has appeared on How To Make It In America and another FOX comedy, The Cleveland Show. On the big-screen side, he's set to appear in the upcoming Need For Speed movie.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is produced by Mike Schur and Dan Goor (Parks and Recreation) and will premeire September 17.
