That includes Saturday Night Live alums Fred Armisen and Horatio Sanz, who have teamed up with SNL creator Lorne Michaels for a new comedy channel directed at Latinos, Más Mejor. Read More »

IFC series Documentary Now! creators Bill Hader and Fred Armisen stopped by fellow co-creator Seth Meyers's Late Night to promote their new show in a way that only they could—by dressing up like an old 70s rock band and performing a very old, very catchy tune. After word broke that Hillary Clinton is running for President in the 2016 spot, we couldn’t help but venture back to this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live cold open – with host Taraji P. Henson and musical guest Mumford & Sons – in which key player Kate McKinnon portrayed Clinton prepping to make her big announcement. The sketch appeared to beat the former First Lady to the punch, and even brought back a familiar face: Darrell Hammond’s infamous Bill Clinton impression. Which got us thinking: what are the top five impressions of a President in SNL’s history? Is it Amy Poehler’s Clinton impression? How about Jay Pharoah’s flawless impersonation of President Barack Obama? Read More »
If there’s any solidification that Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s Portlandia is churning out it’s A-game, it’s the fact that Paul Simon has officially appeared. The singer-songwriter is guesting on the next episode, which airs this coming March 5 at 10 p.m. on IFC. In the below clip, Armisen and Brownstein star as annoying super fans Dave and Kath, both of whom have some serious (eh, that’s debatable) questions for Simon. Ones they’re hoping will totally take him by surprise… Read More »
If you tuned into last night’s episode of CONAN then you undoubtedly saw Portlandia’s own Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein take to host Conan O’Brien’s couch. During the duo’s interview, O’Brien brought up a little beef Armisen has with his former Saturday Night Live co-star, who recently lit up the screen in The Skeleton Twins, Bill Hader. Mainly the fact that Hader did an impression of Armisen that the latter found a little “unfair.” Naturally, with that, Armisen had a little impression of his own for his former friend. Read More »
Fred Armisen looks like Rick Moranis? Apparently! Jerry Seinfeld is certainly ending Season 5 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with a bang. The veteran comic aired a two-part episode of his web series with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon earlier today. In the video, the two comedians cruise around in an old vet and head on out to the water before grabbing themselves some coffee and pancakes in Long Island. Hilariously enough, most of Part 1 was just Seinfeld trying to get his boat off of his Land Rover. Which he did, we might add. The two-parters comes after hilarious episodes that include Portlandia star Fred Armisen, the ever so funny stand up Kevin Hart, YouTube personality Miranda Sings and a number of others. Read More »
It’s hard to believe it but Season 5 of Jerry Seinfeld’ Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is coming to a close this Thursday, Dec. 18 at 12 p.m. EST. But don’t be too sad; this season is surely going out with a bang! Having already delivered an entertaining season, this last episode proves to be no different – actually, perhaps it’s “the best episode yet” – because Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon is stepping in to end out the season. Together with Seinfeld, the two comics succeed in getting “weird” not only in the car but also on a boat. Will this be better than Portlandia star Fred Armisen’s tour around Portland or Breaking Bad’s Bill Burr’s sit down at a cigar shop? Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see! Read More »
A new Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee dropped today, which means that we must be towards the end of the week! In this newest episode – which follows the likes of Fred Armisen, Kevin Hart and stand up Bill Burr – comic Jerry Seinfeld introduces “Waspy Week” with guest Ali Wentworth, who was the lead in the Starz series Head Case. The two have been friends for years – Seinfeld and his wife often hang with Wentworth and her husband, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. In fact, the actress also happened to appear on an episode of Seinfeld back in the 90s, so we can say for certain that it’s been a long, long friendship. Read More »
Keeping true to his schedule, comedian Jerry Seinfeld just dropped a new episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee earlier today with guest Fred Armisen. The Portlandia star showed the vet Seinfeld lead around the city he loves so dearly (so much so that he created a series about it with Sleater-Kinney lead Carrie Brownstein), Portland. And as usual, it certainly didn’t disappoint – especially because of that surprise bonus piece which included Michael Richards reprising his role as Crackle president Dick Corcoran. Read More »
