Considering Star Wars: Episode VII information is hard to come by, late night talk show host Conan O'Brien decided he would try to get some information out of Harrison Ford. The actor was on TBS's "Conan" last night and since he's rumored to reprise his role as Han Solo in the new film, O'Brien wanted him to give some sort of spoiler for it. Conan even bribed Ford with $1,000 in cash. So what did Ford reveal?
Check out the Star Wars bribe footage right here:
So Conan's out $1,000 and we still have no more information about Episode VII than we did before. Great.
Luckily, Ford did talk about the franchise a bit. He mentioned how A New Hope would not have worked well in modern times:
"Everyone would be ahead of it, and everybody would know what it was, and it would be no fun at all. But people still went to movies in those days. People went to movie theaters. It was a community experience, and that was part of the fun. Now people see a movie on their iPad, alone, with interruptions for snacks."
He also spoke about how events like Comic Con are not his cup of tea:
"It's another form of engagement. I think the success of Comic-Con is based on the partnership between the fans and the service providers, the entities - I won't necessarily call them filmmakers - that supply the film product that supports their particular interest, whether it's vampires or science-fiction fantasies or Transformers or whatever is going on."
So we didn't get any more information, but would you really expect Ford to be the one to make any sort of Star Wars announcement? That guy HATES talking about it!
