Ever since Ariana Grande and her Janoskians boyfriend Jai Brooks broke up earlier this month, rumors have been hitting the Internet hard about a possible new love interest for the "The Way" singer: The Wanted singer and her "Almost Is Never Enough" partner, Nathan Sykes.
Now, though, it seems as though Grande has taken to her Twitter account to deny any such rumors and did so in one fell swoop of fan trust.
"Loves... U know how open & honest I am with u. If you haven't heard from me then don't necessarily believe things. Easy to draw conclusions," she wrote on Aug. 28. Later she followed that tweet up with: "Everybody's just trying to figure out what they want and what makes them happy. What life's all about right? What makes me any different?"
So, while it seems as though Grande may be trying to figure out what exactly it is she wants in her personal life, fans should trust that she is not seeing Sykes.
Us Weekly initially reported about the Grande/Sykes relationship, saying that the two hit it off when they recorded their duet for her debut album "Yours Truly" together. However, the two have not necessarily been spotted together. Moreover, they share the same manager (Scooter Braun), so they were bound to work together at some point and have a friendly relationship. And, after the Justin Bieber cheek kiss extravaganza, Grande let it be known that a girl can, in fact, just be friends with a guy.
Grande and her ex, Jai Brooks, seem to have split in early August, when Grande began acting differently, deleting tumblr posts and saying that "boys come and go but my fans are here to stay" at a NYC concert. She has refused to take questions on her personal life, so a reason for the split has yet to be revealed.
Despite the rumors about her personal life, the 20-year-old singer continues on. Though it leaked earlier today (Aug. 29), Grande's debut album "Yours Truly" will be released in the US on Sept. 3. She will perform on "The Today Show" that morning.
