If you were wondering what comedian and actor Eddie Murphy has been up to lately, you can stop now. The acclaimed funnyman has been busy with a new music career! His first single, "Red Light," is our first taste of his new career, and it even features Snoop Lion. Both aging stars have apparently found new aspirations in the reggae world and it is not as bad as you'd think.
Although the reclusive actor has had a verified Twitter account since July, it took him a while to post his first tweet. Yesterday he posted the following tweet:

That's right! Eddie Murphy, known mostly for his stand up and acting careers has jumped back into the music world and released his first single. This first track happens to be a reggae song, but "Red Light" is definitely not bad. You might find it funny, but Eddie at least appears to be taking this seriously. He even got Snoop Lion (who recently changed his moniker in order to start a career in reggae) to lay down some lines for the song. Snoop's presence is definitely giving the song a boost.

An official music video for Eddie Murphy's "Red Light" will be released on Septmember 9. There is no news concerning an album announcement or tour dates, but stay tuned for such announcements in the near future.
