If you just can’t get enough of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” boy are you in luck! The smooth, sometimes controversial R&B singer announced a tour in support of his No. 1 album today (Sept. 13).
“Blurred Lines” was the bona fide song of the summer, with little competition. The track, which features T.I. and Pharrell, topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 straight weeks, besting strong singles from Miley Cyrus, One Direction and Daft Punk. So, it’s no surprise that Thicke will hit the road behind the song and the album of the same name.
Thicke will get support from “It's My Party” singer Jessie J, whose second album “Alive” comes out Sept. 23.
DJ Cassidy will also appear.
The late winter/early spring tour will begin in Atlanta on Feb. 21 and run a little over a month, ending in San Francisco on March 29. In total, Thicke and Jessie J will play in 15 cities at mid-sized theatres. For instance, his opening gig at the Fox Theatre can host up to 4500 audience members.
