Last night, Demi Lovato made the live television debut of her new single “Neon Lights” on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” and the “X Factor” judge did so with some new neon hair. In addition to a new song, Lovato also premiered a new blue hairdo Oct. 2.
As can be expected from Lovato, the debut performance of “Neon Lights” was a powerful vocal achievement. The former Disney star has proved she can belt with the best of them, and though she typically takes her talents to ballads, like her biggest hits “Skyscraper” and “Heart Attack.” However, “Neon Lights” shows a new, poppier side of Lovato. The track incorporates electronic elements and light instrumentation, creating a club atmosphere.
Despite the fun vibes of “Neon Light,” Lovato was still all business on “The Tonight Show,” giving tough looks to the camera and clapping to the beat.
“Neon Lights” wasn’t the only thing Lovato debuted on “The Tonight Show,” she also showed off her new hair dye job: a vibrant shade of neon blue (fitting for her new single). Wearing it in a simple straight down style, Lovato brushed her vibrant locks out of her face. And to editorialize, she totally rocks the blue ‘do.

"Neon Lights" is the third single from Lovato's fourth studio album "Demi." It was preceded by "Heart Attack" and "Made in the USA." Lovato announced a tour named after the new track earlier this week. She'll hit the road with Fifth Harmony in February.
