The synopsis and the setlist have been released for next week's episode of "Glee," the highly anticipated and surely highly emotional tribute episode to deceased cast member Cory Monteith and his character, Finn Hudson. Last night (Oct. 3), FOX debuted the trailer for "The Quarterback," and this one is a doozy.
The short, 30-second trailer shows the characters of "Glee" walking through the hallways of William McKinley High School, making a shrine at Finn's old locker with notes of remembrance, candles and, of course, a football. Other shots include Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel Berry (Monteith's real life and on-screen girlfriend Lea Michele) crying and seeking comfort in Finn's old jacket and Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison), respectively.
Meanwhile, the "Glee" cover of "Make You Feel My Love" plays over the emotional scenes.

As MStars previously reported, the tribute episode will not include the cause of death of Monteith or his character, Finn. Instead, former members of McKinley's glee club will return to the high school to remember Finn and celebrate his life in song. The character's family will go through his belongings, and each member of the "Glee" family will learn to cope with Finn's passing.
Yesterday (Oct. 3), FOX released the setlist for "The Quarterback," and the songs span the decades and help express love and loss. Tracks that will be featured and covered by the "Glee" cast include "Seasons of Love" ("RENT"), "If I Die Young" (The Band Perry) and "I'll Stand By You" (The Pretenders).
The Cory Monteith tribute episode of "Glee" will air on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 9 p.m.
