Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp Dating Rumors? Elton John 'Plays Cupid' for ARTPOP Songstress, Secret Romance Brewing Behind Taylor Kinney, Amber Heard's Backs?

Here's a good one - Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp are secretly dating thanks to Elton John! According to the National Enquirer, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer thinks that the ARTPOP songstress and "Pirates of the Caribbean" heartthrob would make an adorable couple. Really?!

Apparently, the "Rocket Man" crooner recently arranged a "secret meeting" between Mother Monster and Depp in order to spark a romantic connection. An alleged insider for the infamous gossip outlet claims:

"Elton was determined to hook up Johnny and Lady Gaga. While the meeting was under the guise of a future musical collaboration, Elton is convinced the two superstars would make an amazing power couple."

Sir Elton had the duo meet at a the popular Hollywood restaurant Craig's on September 23. The source reveals that "Johnny and Gaga hit it off immediately... They bonded over music, flirted a little and basically got to know each other. By the end of the night, they'd already made plans to see each other again."

Uh, FYI - Gaga's been dating actor Taylor Kinney for more than two years. There's even rumors circulating that the two are planning a wedding. Meanwhile, Depp's dating girlfriend Amber Heard.

Elton John's very close with the 27-year-old "Applause" superstar... Gaga's even the Godmother to his two young sons Zachary and Elijah  (with longtime partner David Furnish). As long as Gaga's happy in her relationship with Kinney, Elton's probably fine with that. Why force an affair with 50-year-old Depp?

To confirm that this is just a rumor, Gossip Cop spoke to a source close to Mother Monster, who insists that the report is totally "inaccurate."
