Pitbull, Ke$ha New Song 'Timber' Brings Together Swing Dance, Rap Music: Tour Collaborators Equate Taking Shots to Chopping Down Trees in Single Collaboration [LISTEN]

It's the collaboration of a lifetime. Mr. Worldwide himself, Pitbull, and the party "Animal" Ke$ha have released a new single together, "Timber," and the song is a chaotic, beautiful mess that only those two could produce.

"Timber" is by no means the first collaboration between Pitbull and Ke$ha. The two have previously worked together on the track "Girls" for the 2009 album "Rebelution" and on a remix of Ke$ha's song, "Crazy Kids." The duo also embarked on the North American Tour 2013 this past May and June, where "Timber" was written and recorded.

The result of the latest collaboration between Pitbull and Ke$ha infuses a harmonica riff with a steady, throbbing drumbeat. As they are apt to do, the song is about partying. "Swing your partner 'round and 'round / End of the night, it's going down / One More shot another round / End of the night, it's going down / It's going down, I'm shouting timber," they sing, equating drinking alcohol to chopping down trees.

Pitbull's rhymes name check partiers, most notably Miley Cyrus and her twerking ways. The song is light hearted and fun, blending together swing dance elements with rap and club music.

"Timber" is reportedly the lead single from Pitbull's eighth studio album, which has yet to receive a title or a release date. It's the first track from him since his collaboration with Flo Ride, "Can't Believe It."
