Ariana Grande and The Wanted's Nathan Sykes are truly living on "Honeymoon Avenue." Despite Grande's ex-boyfriend, Jai Brooks, claiming the new couple's relationship began as Grande cheating, the "Almost Is Never Enough" duo are doing well. Sykes even took Grande to his parents' home in Gloucester so his new girl could meet his folks!
"I took her back to Gloucester yesterday (Oct. 6) to meet all my family. I was so scared, you don't even realize," Sykes told Digital Spy.
Despite Sykes' nerves, the meeting apparently went well, and his family is just as smitten with Grande as he is! "But my family thinks she's amazing and they're like, 'Nathan, how?' and I'm like, 'I don't know,'" he said. "I don't think anyone can ever punch above their weight, but I feel very lucky, put it that way."
It seems like the Sykes family aren't the only people close to the singer who like Grande, his The Wanted bandmates are also taken with her. "They love her. They feel really protective over her. They've taken her under their wing," said Sykes. "I'm always like, 'Don't lead her astray, boys, don't lead her astray.' They adore her. She's the easiest person to get on with."
Sykes and Grande first announced their relationship on Sept. 24, after they were photographed holding hands and hugging each other at Disneyland. Though dating rumors swarmed around the couple for about a month before they made it Twitter official, Sykes said he never lied to his fans about the status of their relationship.
"People speculated for so long, but there was never anything official to say. When I actually got the balls to sort out what was happening, we told them the next day," he said. "We've always been completely honest with the fans, because we have good relationships with them. If you're really happy and comfortable with one another, why hide it?"
Seems like the new couple are totally smitten!
