Kate Moss Fashion Roles With Topshop and British Vogue

Kate Moss is having a big month in music and fashion. From news of her appearance in Paul McCartney's next music video, to some serious positions she's taking on. Vogue announced this week that she will be contributing fashion editor for British Vogue, a magazine she's graced the cover of for the past 20 years. (Thirty-three covers, to be exact.) Earlier this month, The Guardian reported that Moss will join Topshop in a new collection collaboration that will hit 40 countries. The strategy may include a strong presence of pop-up shops in China, in particular. 

British Vogue's editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman gave reason behind the decision to take on Moss in the contributing editor job: "Her undoubtedly brilliant sense of style, depth of fashion knowledge and understanding of what makes a wonderful image will be exciting to see on the pages of British Vogue." More praise comes from Topshop's owner Sir Philip Green, "Show me anybody with better fashion credibility. She's spent 20 years in the industry -- who knows the business better?"

Sounds like Moss is more relevant than ever in the fashion world. She has the experience that builds credibility, but is still considered hip enough to stay on top of trend. It's refreshing to see her stay highly-regarded in a culture that often sees models as "past their prime" at a young age. 

You can expect more from Moss in December, when Playboy's 60th Anniversary issue is expected to hit stands with her front and center. This will come just shy of her 40th birthday in January. Moss has been as open with her body as she has been with confronting rumors in the media about drug use and eating disorders. And she's put her star power to good use with charity work. This past April she raised $53,529 for The American Foundation for AIDS Research, simply by sharing a kiss with Sharon Stone.
