Joe Jonas has debunked all those drug addiction rumors. Following news of a "deep rift" within the Jonas Brothers earlier this month (which eventually led to the "First Time" band's break up), rumors swirled that the reason for the tension within the band was due to the middle brother's addiction to heroin. Now, speaking with People, Joe has slammed those rumors, calling them "ridiculous."

"We're not saying anything for two or three weeks, and I'm a drug addict!" he questioned. Before saying, "It's obviously not true. I've never touched heroin in my life. Neither has my girlfriend [model Blanda Eggenschwiler]. It's hilarious to me, but also frustrating as well. It pissed me off when it's about my girl and even about myself."

Rumors of a drug problem first surfaced when Joe was seen with addiction/crisis management specialist Mike Bayer, who once worked with his ex, Demi Lovato.

As fans learned yesterday during their interview with Good Morning America, a drug problem was not the cause of the Jonas Brothers' end. Instead, it was musical direction and the band's murky future together, which was first brought to the table by youngest member/songwriter Nick Jonas. This a sentiment echoed in a new interview with People.

After Nick "shared his heart" with his brothers, the rising tension within the band was too much for the trio and in order to salvage their family relationship, they decided to call it quits as a group. "We're choosing out family because it was becoming toxic," said oldest brother Kevin. "Prioritizing our family is really important to us," said Nick.

The future of the Jonas Brothers is "over for now," but that doesn't mean some new music isn't on the way. Yesterday in their GMA interview, Kevin said fan club members would receive four unreleased songs as well as a 10-track live album. As for V, the band's yet-to-be released fifth album? That will remain unreleased.
