There's no question as to why everyone would want a piece of The Hunger Games pie. The book series is one of the most successful young adult ventures in years, and the movie franchise produced a smash hit blockbuster in 2012, grossing over $150 million in its opening weekend alone. Thus, synergy is inevitable.

If there's one thing that is to be said about The Hunger Games, and the second upcoming film in the franchise Catching Fire, it's that the movie isn't particularly appetizing. In the beginning of the story, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark travel across Panem, seeing excesses of food while their friends at home in District 12 starve and sell away a piece of their lives for some extra flour. Later, in the Hunger Games arena, the seemingly doomed duo have to roast rats and spear fish in any effort to just survive.

Oh, and inherently, the book is about kids killing other kids.

So, while all these components make for a fascinating tale of endurance, bravery and adventure, it doesn't particularly get one's mouth watering. Thus, it's pretty hilarious and somewhat disturbing that Subway restaurants have teamed up with Lionsgate to make a Hunger Games themed sandwich, with Sriracha sauces to tie in the bold flavors and fire of the food with the boldness of Katniss and her moniker "The Girl on Fire."

The sandwich highlighted in the video seems tasty enough, a Sriracha Chicken Melt, which will help to bring the spicy sauce crazy to Subway, but tying it in with The Hunger Games... that just doesn't seem to make people hungry.
