Pixies answer 'What Goes Boom' in simple music video

What Goes Boom? Pixies' guitarist Joey Santiago, apparently. The now Kim Deal-less indie rock royalty just dropped the video for their EP-1 track which focuses heavily on a desert scene before showing the veteran musician exploding in a cloud of gore.

According to an interview directors Jonathan Furmanski and Matthew Galki  gave to NPR, the video was supposed to feature a central scene from the original Star Wars movies, but that got a bit pricey so "we decided the next best thing was to blow up Joey Santiago in the desert - the compromises we make for our art." 

The Pixies have previously released a video for EP-1 track "Indie Cindy" and the album is available as a digital download via their website (physical copies are sold out, y'all).
