This week's episode of Saturday Night Live was just another great example of how good this season is. Host Josh Hutcherson was a surprising choice, but ultimately an incredible performer. The young actor was able to laugh at himself and also make sure to keep the audience laughing in his debut hosting gig for SNL. Plus, the musical guest, HAIM, really added to the episode.
Taran Killam’s Piers Morgan impression does not get old, so having him open the show with this character was a great start. After weeks of jokes about Obamacare and the like, this week SNL addressed the George Zimmerman arrest in a comical way.
We all probably suspected a Hunger Game-themed monologue for Josh Hutcherson’s introduction, and that’s exactly what we got. SNL is still poking fun at the new cast members and Hutcherson makes it clear that he’s aware of his size. Great stuff!
