After "The Day of the Doctor" broke a Guinness record and left fans in awe, Doctor Who will wrap up 2013 with another special entitled "The Time of the Doctor." This new title, announced this week, definitely seems to show off the motif and focus on our main character, and considering this is Matt Smith's farewell episode, "time" is definitely playing a big part.

Along with the title announcement, the BBC also shared the above episode poster depicting a determined Doctor, a severely damaged Cyberman head, a festive Clara, and some mysterious figures in the background.

Whovians will clearly recognize these figures as The Silence, the reoccurring antagonists that seem to be following the Eleventh Doctor everywhere. In fact, considering this is Smith's final episode, it might also mean that the Silence win. Or will the Silence fall?

Well to give you an answer to that query, here is a very brief teaser trailer for the upcoming Christmas special, "The Time of the Doctor":

What did you think of this teaser? Are you ready to saying good-bye to Matt Smith?

Here is a brief synopsis from the BBC for "The Time of the Doctor":

"Orbiting a quiet backwater planet, the massed forces of the universe's deadliest species gather, drawn to a mysterious message that echoes out to the stars. And amongst them - the Doctor. Rescuing Clara from a family Christmas dinner, the Time Lord and his best friend must learn what this enigmatic signal means for his own fate and that of the universe."
