Pixies lose yet another Kim

If your name is Kim, and you can play bass, have we got the opening for you. Kim Shattuck has been axed from the new Pixies line-up, according to posts she made on Facebook and Twitter.

"Disappointed to learn that my time w/Pixies ended today," she wrote. "Amazing experience.Focusing attn on Muffs & new album. All the best to everyone."

Pixies have yet to release a statement. The band released their first new music in quite a while with Kim 2 (even getting a music video and most of a tour out of the way with Shattuck) but it looks like any subsequent releases will feature yet another bassist.
