Chris Pratt's acting career is about to take off with the Parks and Recreation star slowly but surely developing into a "leading man" in Hollywood. Known for his comedy chops, the 34-year-old has proven himself worthy of bigger gigs with roles in Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Over the last few months he was rumored as the actor sought after for the new Jurassic World film and now the actor has confirmed that he has been called in for auditions for this role.
Last month, Pratt's role was described as "a rugged ex-military man, whose foil is the already-cast Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays a smart corporate scientist." Clearly Pratt has the physique for this, so the rumors made sense as they popped up. But to actually hear Pratt say it himself has confirmed the rumors.
"I am now in contention for roles no one would have considered me for before," Pratt said when asked about Jurassic World. "I know I want to do it and I know the director (Colin Trevorrow) wants me to do it so now it's just a matter of everyone coming together and making sure it can work."
Meanwhile, director Trevorrow explained some details concerning the filmon Twitter after a fan asked him about it.
@pfcbains916 Reboot is a strong word. This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park.
