According to Billboard, Miley Cyrus and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have been added to Dick Clark's annual New Year's Rockin' Eve. Cyrus and the "Thrift Shop" rap group will perform live in Times Square alongside host Ryan Seacrest.
In addition to the two East Coast headliners, Blondie and Icona Pop have been confirmed for the West Coast edition of the annual concert. The Pacific edition will be hosted by Fergie and include performances from Robin Thicke, Enrique Iglesias, Fall Out Boy and Florida Georgia Line.
The inclusion of Cyrus and Macklemore makes sense for a program that closes out the year 2013. Cyrus largely controlled the cultural discussion after a raunchy performance at the MTV VMAs and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis released the year's most-streamed song in "Can't Hold Us."
As for the other acts, Blondie has been toying with retirement after a 40-plus year career, citing lead singer Debbie Harris' health.
