Ed Sheeran played matchmaker to Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid, dating rumors sparked after new couple left Jennifer Aniston's holiday party together

Just this week, Cougartown star Courteney Cox was spotted leaving her fellow Friends alumnus Jennifer Aniston's annual holiday party with Snow Patrol member Johnny McDaid. Considering these dating rumors are now just getting heated up, there are a lot of stories surrounding this new couple. In fact, we already know how these two met! According to "Lego House" singer Ed Sheeran, he was the one that set these two up on a date!

"I wasn't allowed to talk about this, actually, but it's just gone public so ... My housemate [Johnny], who I have lived with for a year, I introduced him to Courteney and they started dating - now they're crazy about each other," Ed revealed.

So it looks like these dating rumors are in fact very true and that this new couple have already spent plenty of time together. Aniston's holiday party was the first time Courteney and Johnny were photographed together, but according to Sheeran they are already in love!

"I ended up spending a lot of time living in [Courteney's] beach house and therefore bumping into all these random people," Sheeran said. "We spent Thanksgiving eve at Jennifer's before spending the day at Courteney's."

So there you have! Ed Sheeran is very open about talking about his friends' romance especially since he's proud that he had a hand in setting these two up.
