'Beyoncé' remains at No. 1 on Billboard 200 for Christmas sales week, nears one million in sales

Queen Bey reigns supreme yet again. Beyoncé's new surprise, self-titled album has topped the Billboard 200 for the second week in a row, and has nearly sold one million copies after just 10 days.

According to Billboard, in its second week (and first full week), Beyoncé sold 374,000 copies. Add that to the 617,000 Beyoncé sold during its first week, when it was an iTunes exclusive, and the flash-released album has sold a combined 991,000 copies in just 10 days.

For the first week of Beyoncé album sales, the "visual album" was available solely on iTunes. Between Dec. 18 and Dec. 20, the record started to get shipped out to brick-and-mortar retailers and was made available on other online venues.

Beyoncé's 374,000 copies in her album's second week is an astonishing accomplishment for the pop megastar. Her second week sales have beaten first week numbers from the likes of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus, all of whom sold in the upper 200,000s during their albums' first weeks.

While Beyoncé remains high, the top 10 of the Billboard 200 has largely remained the same from last week.

Garth Brooks' best-of Walmart-exclusive box set Blam It All On My Roots stuck at the No. 2 spot selling 199,000 copies, and One Direction's Midnight Memories rose two spots on the chart at No. 3 with 166,000 units sold, likely giving plenty of tweens a very merry Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas, the now-controversial Robertson family's Duck The Halls set sold 132,000 copies, landing at No. 4 on the charts and besting other Christmas releases such as Kelly Clarkson's Wrapped In Red  (No. 5, 124,000) and Michael Bublé's Christmas (No. 9, 68,000).

In between the holiday releases, Eminem's MMLP2 sold 115,000 copies, rising to No. 6, Katy Perry's Prism moved 99,000 copies, landing at No. 7, and the soundtrack to Disney's Frozen got to No. 8 with 81,000 copies.

Luke Bryan rounded out the top 10 with Crash My Party, which sold 68,000 copies.

Seem like a lack of new albums? That's because it is. The highest new debut on the Billboard 200 this week went to B.o.B.'s Underground Luxury, which landed at No. 22 with 35,000 units sold.
