Quentin Tarantino is currently in a state of dismay and depression after his Django Unchained follow-up film, another Western movie entitled The Hateful Eight, was compromised. The new film's script was leaked by one of the few people he shared it with, causing the award-winning director to shelve the project and possibly not even make it into a movie at any point. Now the website that leaked the entire script online, Gawker, is facing a lawsuit from the filmmaker.

In a post entitled "Here Is the Leaked Quentin Tarantino Hateful Eight Script" on the website Defamer, Gawker set in motion a cause to seek legal action in the eyes of Tarantino.

"Gawker Media has made a business of predatory journalism, violating people's rights to make a buck," the lawsuit from Quentin Tarantino states. "This time they went too far. Rather than merely publishing a news story reporting that Plaintiff's screenplay may have been circulating in Hollywood without his permission, Gawker Media crossed the journalistic line by promoting itself to the public as the first source to read the entire Screenplay illegally."

What do you think of the legal action sought by Tarantino against the website? Is Gawker in the wrong for posting the entire leaked script online or is Tarantino blowing this out of proportion? Let us know in the comments section below!
