Although we're only three episodes into season two of the Emmy-winning action series Banshee, Cinemax has decided to go ahead and renew the show for season three. Premiering in 2015, the third season will continue the thrilling story of Lucas Hood, a former thief and convict that stole the identity of a small town sheriff.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Banshee recently returned to a series high for a first-run episode, averaging just shy of 500,000 viewers in its Jan. 10 sophomore return. The series, like most pay cable fare, sees its bigger lifts in time-shifting and views on other platforms. The first season of Banshee averaged 727,000 viewers in live-plus-7, easily eclipsing previous Cinemax original efforts. In September, Banshee received a Primetime Emmy for special visual effects.

With the addition of ten new episodes coming next year, what does that mean for the current season airing now? We already have so many questions about the rest of season two, so adding on a whole third season adds to the confusion!

Season one was a great introductory to Hood and his story, and season two is proving to be all about his struggles to maintain his new life with plenty of obstacles and distractions popping up. What do you think season three will involve?
