Lauryn Hill was left as the only artist who could possibly one up The Flaming Lips during Dave Letterman's week-long tribute to The Beatles. I'm happy to say the former Fugee rose to the occasion with her performance of the George Harrison classic (making it, via the transitive property and George being the best Beatle, among the most classic) "Something."

Lauryn Hill brought a sense of soul that hasn't been on display much since The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill and certainly not since her recent prison stint.

Hill is 100% clear of her dodgy tax history now and, without the looming spectre of incarceration, perhaps she can get to work on more of this sound.

What do you think of Hill's take on "Something"?
