Seth Myers' Late Night band to be lead by Portlandia's Fred Armisen

There is no denying that the house band can help make or break a late-night show. Think of the impact Paul Shaffer has on Letterman (or try and imagine Fallon's schtick without The Roots). It seems that Seth Meyers fully understands this because he's chosen to bring on double-threat comedian/musician Fred Armisen as his bandleader when he takes Fallon's post later this month.

Armisen curated the rest of the band which includes members of Les Savy Fav (Seth Jabour and Syd Butler) as well as touring musicians for Beyonce (Kim Thompson) and Girls Against Boys (Eli Janney).
