One Direction's Zayn Malik and Liam Payne admit their confidence grew as 1D fame increased

One Direction members Zayn Malik and Liam Payne recently sat down with We Love Pop magazine and revealed that the confidence they have now came from years of rising fame. According to these heartthrobs, being in the world's most popular boy band has allowed them to grow their respective confidence because they were put in situations that forced them to develop it.

"I think for me - and for you, Zayn - we weren't that confident and because you have to talk to so many people it gives you so many more people skills." Payne explained. "When I used to go to family parties as a kid I couldn't hold a conversation. Even with my own uncle. So it's nice that I've now got those skills.''

Malik added: "It's really built our confidence and our social skills. We do find it a bit easier to carry ourselves and speak to people - it's cool.''

It is really nice to know that these two international celebrities had confidence trouble, especially since they are role models for young teens that enjoy their music. Hearing that these two young men, who have to perform in front of sold out crowds and take part in countless interviews worked to get their confidence where it is today.

Though they had to adjust to their new surroundings and situations as pop stars, it ultimately helped them and made them better for it. Now they can sit down for an interview and explain how confidence is something everyone has to work on!
