After the untimely death of Paul Walker questions arose concerning the completion of Fast and Furious 7, which he had been in the middle of shooting with the rest of the returning cast members. We soon learned that filming would simply be postponed and not canceled, and now we know that production will pick back up in April of 2014.

According to The Hollywood Reporter,  "Sources say Universal will restart production on the action franchise on or near April 1, giving the studio and director James Wan almost one year until the film is due to hit theaters April 10, 2015. The remainder of the shoot will last from six to eight weeks, according to insiders. Cast and crew will be called back to Atlanta ..."

Reprots from earlier this year claimed that filming had resumed in Abu Dhabi, but it looks like this was not the case.

We've also already learned that Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, would be "retired" in the film franchise so that fans can properly say good-bye to the actor with some help from the movie. Writer Chris Morgan is taking on this task and hopes to properly send off Walker's character.

Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and Tyrese Gibson are all returning for this film with newcomers including Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Djimon Hounsou, and Lucas Black.
