MStars has learned that running back Baltimore Ravens star Ray Rice has been indicted on one court of aggravated assault, after hitting his fiancee while on an elevator in Atlantic City.

Evidence of the alleged dispute was caught on a surveillance camera as the two were exiting a casino.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office made the announcement Thursday, March 27 that Rice will face one count of third degree aggravated assault that left his fiancee Janay Palmer nearly unconscious.

The February 15 incident could put the running back star behind bars for 3 to 5 years.

The video shows Rice exiting out of an casino elevator dragging Palmer's unresponsive body out of the elevator. There were no camera's reported inside the elevator to know what exactly happened, but it is clear prosecutors had enough evidence in there investigation to charge the 27-year-old.

Back in February when the crime occurred, police charged both Rice and his fiancee with simple assault, but the charges against Palmer were dismissed.
