Harry Styles writes 'unrequited love song' with Kodaline amidst solo career rumors, who's the 1D heartthrob pining for in new tune?

Last month we heard the reports of Harry Styles writing a song with Kodaline, but this week the Irish rock band revealed just what kind of song it is. It turns out it's a bit off an "unrequited love song," leading us to question who Harry had on his mind while penning the alleged ballad.

''Harry Styles came to two of our shows and he's a big fan and we ended up going to the studio and writing a song together," guitarist Mark Prendergrast said. ''He's a really good lad. Very funny and a very good writer and singer. It was an unrequited love song but we're not sure what we're doing with it yet, but it's there.''

While the song seems to be up in the air in terms of releasing it, we have plenty of questions about it! We desperately want to hear the track, so when will that happen? Hopefully the band doesn't shelve the song since they don't know what to do with it yet.

Maybe the biggest question is whom the song is about.  We're all pretty aware of Harry's dating life, but whom can we put in the "unrequited" category? Not many women fall into that list when thinking of a member of the biggest boy band in the world, but we're sure there will be plenty of speculation around this.
