Perrie Edwards admits One Direction fiance Zayn Malik seemed 'cocky' and 'full of himself' when they first met!

Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik are a match made in British pop star heaven, but according to a new interview with the Little Mix songstress her first impressions of her One Direction fiancé weren't too great. The singer admits that Zayn's personality rubbed her the wrong way at first, though now she feels she couldn't have been more wrong at the time!

"I didn't really like Zayn when I first met him, because I didn't know him and he seems a bit cocky and a bit full of himself," she recently explained, causing us all to collectively gasp in dismay!

"Then I realized that he's the most sweetest, most amazing person in the world," she said, causing us all to take back our gasps and sigh with relief. "So you just need to get to know someone really."

She added: "I think we texted every day after we met anyway and then it just happened. But he pursued me."

Apparently Zayn's cockiness paid off with his pursuit of Perrie. The two are currently engaged, as we all know, with rumors of a spectacular wedding on the minds of One Direction and Little Mix fans all over the world.

Last month, rumors of the couple fighting over wedding plans popped up.

"If it was up to Zayn, it'd be just the two of them with close family. But Perrie's imagining things on a massive scale: she wants a castle or to hire a private island," an inside source explained according to Heat Magazine. "Perrie keeps changing her mind - one minute she wants a Disney-themed wedding, then a Caribbean one, then an intimate one in the UK. Her mum and friends are putting ideas in her head, showing her videos of huge weddings on YouTube."
