Whatever Katy Perry wants, Katy Perry gets.
While on tour in the U.K. for her "Prismatic Tour" the British newspaper Daily Star got ahold of the "Dark Horse" singers backstage needs, which include an assistant to wash and cut up fruit and vegetables for her.
Also included in the singers rider are:
- Daily supply of apples
- Dries Figs
- Celery
- Peas
- Grapes
- Pineapple
- Assortment of tortilla chips
- Three bottles of chilled Pinot Grigio
Doesn't sound like too much to ask for, does it?
The singer also asks that the dressing rooms be design in a very specific way. She requests custom-made French lamps, a director's chair with her name embroidered on it, a cream colored rug, white and pink flowers ("absolutely no carnation"), and a ton of clothes and makeup products.
Her backstage needs aren't just reserved for physical items; she is also very precise about the behavior of her crew behind the scenes.
The newspaper reports that an insider told them "that staff mustn't speak to her, especially to ask for a photo or an autograph, because it angers her before the show."
While some may think that the demands are very diva like, it doesn't seem like too much to ask from someone who is on tour from May to December.
Perry is also very generous with her crew while on tour. She even picked up the bill of £1,000 from Nando's restaurant, while in Belfast, North Ireland giving everyone working for her a ton of spicy chicken from the chain restaurant.
