Three Rhode Island 20-somethings (more commonly know nowadays as "Millennials") were arrested this week after allegedly screaming obscenities and throwing beer bottles at pop star Taylor Swift's mansion and security personnel in town. The accused, Michael Horrigan, 29, Tristan J. Kading, 28, and Emily E. Kading, 26, are now facing some hefty charges after the attack on the abode.
According to security guard, Ryan Poirier, the 2 young men and the young woman "extended their middle fingers" and shouted obscenities at the guards. Then the bottles came from the three angry neighbors, which resulted in Poirier snapping a cell phone pic of one of the throwers.
The Westerly Sun reports:
Patrolman Matthew Hayden said as he and Poirier made their way over to speak with the trio, Horrigan ran in the direction of the Ocean House, prompting a call to another officer for backup. Meanwhile the others were taken into custody, handcuffed and identified by Poirier as the alleged perpetrators. Officer Robert Gilman caught up with Horrigan, who was also arrested and identified as a bottle-thrower and middle-finger-flipper.
After being taken in to the police station, the charges were downgraded to misdemeanors and they were ordered not to trespass on Miss Swift's property ever again.
Taylor was not home at the time of the incident, most likely because she is currently staying in her new New York City apartment. Hoepfully by the time she gets up to Rhode Island, the bottles will have been all cleaned up and no further incidents will have occurred.
