It looks like the truck driver involved in the Tracy Morgan limo crash was doing a little speeding before getting in the accident that injured the comedian and claimed the life of another man.

In reports that were released today, June 19, by the National Transportation Safety Board, it is revealed that the truck driver Kevin Roper was driving around 65 mph during the crash which happened on June 7.

The incident took place on the New Jersey Turnpike, and the reports are now claiming that a half-mile before the location were the accident occurred there were signs advising drivers to slow down from 55 mph to 45 mph because of construction.

Wal-Mart, who Roper was a driver for, says that their trucks have a mechanism in them that limit the driving speed to 65 mph, so that no driver can exceed that. Whether or not he went over the 65 mph is not in question but rather that he was still going 20 mph over the limit when the crash occurred.

Morgan is currently in the hospital in stable condition after suffering from a broken leg and a few other injuries after the truck caused his limo van to overturn.

A week ago, video footage was released of the crash showing a passenger being pulled from the vehicle. Soon after the video was released from TMZ it came under fire from fellow comedians Judd Apatow, Dax Sheperd, and Louis C.K. who pressured the site to take it down.
