The highly anticipated new Wii U fighting game Hyrule Warriors (due out September 26, 2014) definitely has gamers excited for a new take on characters from the Legend of Zelda video game series, especially with all of these great character trailers hitting the Internet. This time around, we get a dose of "girl power" from playable characters Princess Zelda and Impa.

Check out Zelda in action right here:

The Princess looks pretty agile and aggressive in this clip. Do you like her choice of weapons? Though the original franchise focuses on how Link has to save her, it looks like Zelda can handle her own battles in Hyrule Warriors!

Also, check out Zelda's protector, Impa, in action as well in yet another exciting character trailer:

We certainly weren't expecting less from Impa. A trained protector, it's definitely fun to get the opportunity to play as the tough character. Seeing that giant sword in action sure does add to the excitement, wouldn't you say?

Hyrule Warriors is a straight-up fighting game that does not follow the story or lore of the original Zelda series. Instead of adventures and puzzles, this Wii U game allows players to use these iconic characters for dishing out a lot of pain on some unfortunate enemies.

What do you think of the latest trailers for Hyrule Warriors? Are you going to get the game when the release date hits? Let us know in the comments section below!
