Early in the week, the official BBC One Twitter account changed its name to "Sherlock - #221back" and then posted some teaser tweets for fans. Following this change, some big news broke ending with the confirmation of new Sherlock episodes and perhaps a return of the thought-to-be-deceased Moriarty!

Using the iconic "221 B" that fans know as Holmes and Watson's address on Baker Street, the twitter hastage has announced the show is coming back.

Let's check out the Twitter posts from BBC One's new handle, announcing the return of Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, and possibly even Andrew Scott:

The episodes will film in early 2015, which will hopefully produce a one-off Christmas special for the winter of that year, followed by a three-episode fourth season of the highly anticipated show.

"A special, plus a new series of three episodes - it's a record-breaking run!" the series co-creator Steven Moffat said in a new statement. "Of course, it's far too early to say what's coming, but we're reasonably confident that the very next thing to happen to Sherlock and John is the very last thing you'd expect."
