The Deadpool movie has been a rumored project ever since Ryan Reynolds starred as Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Now, with all of the San Diego Comic-Con excitement over other projects still on our minds, some alleged test footage of the movie leaked online and then was promptly taken down by Fox. Was it real? According to the creator of the Marvel character, Robert Liefeld, and his Twitter account - yes!
After years of directors, writers, and producers signing on and then off of the project, Reynolds has held-fast to the character, promising fans that he's trying his hardest to make the film. This leaked test footage is the proof!
It seemed too good to be true to see articles pop up this week with an apparent screenshot of video featuring Deadpool's mask, but not many of us got to see the actual footage because it was taken down. The lucky few that did see it, however, seemed pretty excited!
So was this test footage real? Let's take a look at the confirmation tweets from comic book series creator Robert Liefeld and then get incredibly excited about the possible new movie:
