Peter Pan Live! NBC 2014 Cast, Allison Williams [Instagram Photo] 'Girls' Starlet Shares First Look Image of her Neverland Look!

Earlier this summer, news broke that the upcoming NBC live musical event, Peter Pan Live!, would be led by actress Allison Williams of HBO's Girls, thus paying homage to the long line of female actresses portraying the fairy tale character. In accordance with this exciting news, Williams joined Instagram and immediately posted a photo of her as a child dressed as Pan. But this week a new photo topped that "throwback," because she gave us our first look at her Peter Pan costume for the upcoming musical, which also stars Christopher Walken as Captain Hook and will air December 4, 2014.

In order to properly prepare for the role, Allison was willing to chop her hair short to look more like ... well, a boy! Luckily for her, she got some advice from the musical's crew that wigs worked much better!

"The transformation begins! My first shoot as Pan. Fun fact: I was all ready to cut my hair, then was told by the folks who actually know what they're doing that a wig works better for everybody," she explained on her Instagram page. "So, December 4th, here we come."
