Destiny is arguably the biggest video game title of 2014 and its release date is just around the corner (Sep. 9, 2014), but the latest advertisement for the game has us even more excited than before. Filmmaker Joseph Kosinski created a live-action commercial for the game, with real people sporting Destiny outfits and weapons, taking on the foes you'll find in the highly anticipated game. Though it isn't gameplay footage, it certainly looks like it and also teases a possibility of a movie!
"A Fireteam heads out on an epic, action-packed road trip across our Solar System to face our enemies, take back what is ours and, in the end, Become Legend," the video's description boasts.
The commercial dropped during the NFL 2014 season opener this week, allowing audiences to get a glimpse at the sci-fi world of Destiny. Peter Dinklage's voice is present, just like the game, in Ghost, the game's helper AI, but the actors are unknown. They do look pretty cool, though, and love one-upping one another to the tune of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song."
The action is reminiscent of the game, but gamers understand that the game itself will be much more epic and amazing.
