Months after a horrific stabbing assault by two 12-year-old girls that was allegedly inspired by the Internet meme, "Slender Man," both of the accused have been deemed unfit for trail. After luring their classmate out to a park and then stabbing her 19 times, the two girls said that "Slender Man" and the "Creepy Pasta" website community inspired them to do so, taking fictitious stories to a dangerous height. The victim survived the attack and it looks like the attackers, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier, might not face a trial anymore.

You can read out original coverage of this terrifying story here.

Just last week, another "Slender Man" incident occurred - this time in an arson case. A teen set her house on fire while her mother and brother slept inside. Read more on this HERE.

Back in July, one of the attackers was found "mentally incompetent" by the court. This week, the other girl was deemed unfit for trial. While sources are not releasing information on which girl was which in these situations, we know that this trial might not play out as we expected.

Judge Michael Boren will decide in a hearing being held next week if the trial will continue.

According to police reports, the mentally incompetent attacker admitted, "she stabbed the victim more than a dozen times, heard voices, and believed she could communicate with Slender Man and other fictional characters." She is already in court ordered treatment for mental problems.

We will be sure to keep you updated on this trial's proceedings after the judge's hearing next week comes to a decision.
