With the premiere of The CW's superhero series a few weeks away, audiences are anxious to see when Arrow and The Flash crossover.
With Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, caught in the middle, will jealousy arise when Iris West (Candice Patton) meets Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards)?
In the comics, West is the true love of Allen. Destined to be together, they have faced their own share of obstacles that have tried to keep them apart. In the end, though, they will have a future grandson, Bart Allen, aka Impulse.
Following the New 52 story arc of , Iris (Patton) does not have feelings for her childhood best friend, Barry. Unfortunately, our scarlet speedster has to push his emotions aside, especially since he has to keep his super-speed powers a secret.
In the Arrow episodes, Barry hit it off with Oliver Queen's sidekick, Felicity (Rickards). After hearing news Barry was hit by lighting, Felicity ran off to see him in the hospital. Someone else was also by Barry's bedside, waiting for him to wake up from his coma.
As reported here, we know Arrow/The Flash will have their two-part crossover episodes. What will happen when Iris meets with Felicity?
TV Line stated, "Our favorite geek girl will also get on great with fleeting beau Barry Allen's No. 1 Central City gal, during the Arrow/The Flash crossover in Episodes 8. Iris West does have an opinion on Felicity, and it's all good. She's a fan of Felicity."
Patton even teased, "I think viewers will be very excited to see Barry stuck between these two women. It's so good."
What sort of romantic triangle will happen between Barry, Felicity, and Iris? We will have to wait and find out.
The Flash premieres on The CW Oct. 7 at 8 p.m.
