And judging from the announcement, this season is gearing up to be pretty good!

As the comedian notes, Season 5 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee debuts this coming Nov. 6 and will feature the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Bill Burr, Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Ali Wentworth, Fred Armisen and YouTube sensation Miranda Sings.

Seinfeld kicked off his appearance on Letterman with a stand up set before heading over to the seat to do his panel – or, as the host says, he wanted to perform rather than "loaf his way through ten minutes" in the chair.

Once in the chair, however, the two spoke briefly about the comic's life as a father and husband before shifting to the Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee guest list. As the segment was winding down, Letterman and Seinfeld discussed the late Joan Rivers and how she was supposed to be a guest on his web series.
